Day out

Today I met Bea. She came down from Manchester to meet me and see London. Of course I was 2 minutes lates although I got up at 9. We wanted to meet at 11:40am. The first train was announced to be in in 6 minutes. Felt like 10. When it arrived it was packed. I couldn't get in cos people refused to move their behinds out of my way. So I had to wait for another 10 minutes. Geeez.

I arrived at Euston at about 12:05am and I had to find her. 5 minutes later I did and we wandered off towards Oxford Street where I showed her the Astoria. Astoria Radiohead had played there in 1994, the evidence can be seen on DVD.

Then we went to a Vegetarian Restaurant and I had yummay Lasagne of the day , white Basmati and a Snapple_Mango Madness. Yummaaaaaay!!!!

After that we took the tube to Oxford Circus (had to wait for another train, the first one was packed...maaaaaan) and went down to Savile Row...
SavilleRow
....former home of the Apple corporation and studios. On the roof of this house the Beatles gave their legendary (wohoo) Get Back performance.

After that we went to Picadilly Circus, had some pictures taken, bought something in the GAP and then I took her to Soho: Record Shops!!! She liked it but didn't find anything. Hm. It was btw this road: Oasis
What then. Oh yeah. We went to Parliament Square and on our way passed Trafalgar Square but we couldn't see much as it was packed with lorries and stuff. The sun was on it's way down and everything looked really nice. (Photos will follow)

While Bea was taking a picture of said beautiful scene I was summoned to join a group of men standing in front of the St.Stephen's pub. The guy was kinda nice and not as drunk as the guy who tried hugging and kissing me. He somehow managed to hit my cheek...phew. Bea seemed to like the idea of joining their Pub Crawl...I didn't. I don't drink and I don't like strange people. And the "there're girls in there too" didn't change that. So we continued to the Thames. We took a few pictures and then decided to go back to Euston as it was about 4:45pm. Bea's train was due to leave at about 7pm and we wanted some dinner.

As we arrived in Euston we couldn't find anything decent to sit and eat so Bea just bought something for "on the train" and then decided to get the 6pm train. Okay. A few minutes later it was 5:30pm and we departed.

I hope she had a nice day, I certainly did. :)

Sin Bin (BBC.co.uk)

Outside the Green Party headquarters in Berlin, there's a big banner that would be unexceptional in any other country but here is both provocative and perhaps a sign of a new confidence. It's not the slogan "Nazis? No thanks!" that causes heads to swivel but the logo of a swastika being dumped in a dustbin. SinBin

Why is this significant? Ever since 1945, the swastika has been banned in Germany. Even on children's model aeroplanes. Last week a court in Stuttgart went a stage further. A man was fined more than 7,000 euros for selling anti-Nazi badges that showed a swastika with a line through it, as in a traffic sign.

He is going to appeal and the government is considering whether to amend the law. The Greens hope to provoke a debate but some Germans strongly argue that the symbol is still too uncomfortable to be seen, whatever the meaning or context.

Excuse me? So we allow (Neo) Nazis to demonstrate, we allow the NPD and followers into Parliament but people are NOT allowed to wear ANTI-NAZI badges????? What is wrong with you Germany????

Update

We had a little problem with the internet here, meaning we weren't able to access it because of security settings...anyway..we're back!

Had another fire alarm (now 3)... *sigh*

No job so far. My application forms apparently made it to the end but weren't chosen due to new regulations saying: only 10 instead of 30 people for interviews.

ARGH!

On the LOVE-front: thumbs-up.

End.

Back

So, we're back from Wales and the mountains. We actually climbed two: Snowdon on the Saturday and a "little" (300m) one before breakfast on Monday. Picures coming soon!

On another note: got another appointment for a job on Tuesday. Hope it's something I can do and I hope they want me. It's a Translator job which actually is exactly what I'm dreaming of.

So..lovewise everything seems and feels perfect. I hope it stays like this because I can't cope with it being all awkward and weird.

More notes coming soon, also pics..

Halfway Home

Alright, it's done. I left Berlin on Friday after the opening match of the World Cup 2006. I spent a few days with the grandparents. It's weird to know that I might not see them again. It could happen everday. I hope it doesn't.

Now I'm in AC with my parents. 4 days left. I'm not excited yet cos it's still so far away and everything that happened too. I didn't realise for example that I'm done with that horrible college. Yay!

It's done!

I'm out of my old life. I'm currently spending it with a friend. She was kind enough to let me live with her. :)

And the end of it is getting closer.

Unbelievable how much one can miss someone. :(
And scary how fast you forget or confuse things. Especially in your dreams. *sigh*

@Martin. Hope you're getting better soon. *sends.healing.vibes*

Alright

it begins.

I started early. All the planning and thinking and arranging. Then I started throwing parts of my life away. Today I started dismanteling it.

The first thing gone.

More to come.
