Happy Birthday

It was bby's 30th birthday yesterday and he had the day off. We had a nice little breakfast over at the Atrium: Kellog's Frosties. Yummay! Then we went back home and it was presents-time!

I got him the Scrabble Dictionary, an Indian recipe book (see pic), Indian-Book a bath pillow, a tiny bottle of bath stuff from Botanics, a special sponge, EDT from The Body Shop, a Hot-Stone-Massage-Kit and a card. :) Hope he liked it. He said he did.

Then we went out to get lunch. We ended up in a Tapas Bar. Yummay again! Had the usual: Omelett, Patatas Bravas, a salad and Meatballs. Hmmmmmmm.

Then we just wandered around, printed out some pictures, post office bla. Then went back to the Atrium and had a coffee, cake and a hot chocolate.

Then back home, waiting for Mike. I made them go to the gym earlier cause I still had to do the cake. I almost ruined it by not adhering to the instructions on the gelatine thing but it worked out in the end and after we had our dinner we had yummay peach-cake. Hmmmmmmmmmm. He also got more presents from Mike and his parents. He got a shirt and a DVD with the best bits from 1977 and the Apple Mighty Mouse. His nan gave him a PE Kit..

The funny bit is that I wanted to buy him the Mighty Mouse but then had loads of other ideas (see above). I talked to Mike who wanted to get him the PE Kit and he said he would get him the Mouse so the PE Kit went to his Nan and I got him all the above stuff. Hehe. I like how things work out sometimes. :)

So..Lunch time in a minute...

There is no such thing as...

..."Global Warming caused by humans".

Read these arguments and watch the trailer and if you manage to find it somewhere, watch the programme.

We've seen it last night and I have to say: I don't see a reason not to believe them. It wouldn't be the first time that we've all been lied to. That companies, scientists and politicians worked together in order to get more funds/money. To sell their environment-friendly cars/houses etc...

Of course, you should doubt everything the media says but this programme, these scientists have cleary shown why it cannot be humans who cause Global Warming. They explained in detail how in the past 1000 years or more the sun has influenced temperatures and not carbon dioxide, which only really was produced by humans when the Industrial Revolution started...But even before that the planet got hotter and hotter (Medieval Warm Period/Holocene Maximum)..also it got colder and colder (Mini Ice Age). Planet-Earth

So: why are we being lied to? Why can't they tell the truth?

I do know that cuttin back on CO2 emission is good and that being green does us all good but omg...just tell the damn truth?

Yeah, scare tactics work sometimes but do you see people care? No!

Click here for more information on Global Warming and the truth.

Btw. If you think I'm a bit naive to believe a single programme with about 20 scientists in it who all say the same: that Global Warming is not caused by us humans than fair enough, I can't stop you.
But aren't you a bit naive to belive a few politicians and companies who constantly lie and betray you so they can get your vote/money...? That's what it's all about: to be the man!

F*ck that

Just had an argument with my bby. He came home for Lunch and said he didn't feel right. I was about to make a salad. I asked him if he wanted a tea (my special tea which he always refuses) and he said that he decided to have nothing and that he wants to try this way to get rid of the bug he might have in his stomach. Sounds to me like refusing to eat (which would be ok, although I said it would be ok if he at least had a piece of bread with nothing on it) and drink (which is not ok, especially when he's got a bug)
Well, in the end he just claimed I always wanna be right, I'm attacking him and my way of caring about him being ill is the wrong way. Oh and apparently I am very hard work.

:'( Thank you.

Let me tell you this. Whenever I feel horrible and ill he doesn't do or say anything apart from "Hm" or "Oh, poor bby." That's it. No "Would you like this? or so... :(

If you read this bby (which you will not cos you're not interested): I did not have the hump until you said I'm hard work. Yes,it upset me that AGAIN you refused my help but did not attack you or try to be right. It's just that I know a few things that help when you're feeling ill/sick. So, saying I dunno what I'm talking about and not caring about you is just not fair.

Apart from that: I need a job!

I hate headers!

And we've been to the cinema again. On Sunday. We've seen 'Pan's Labyrinth' which is a great mexican film set in Spain in Spanish with a fantastic storyline, pictures, cast and soundtrack. Go and see it!!!!!!
Plot Summary: In 1944, during a Fascist regime that followed the country’s Civil War, a young girl named Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) and her mother are forced to relocate to rural Spain to live with the girl’s stepfather, Captain Vidal (Sergi López). As the leader of a military unit sworn to fight any rebels in the territory, Vidal is the epitome of Fascism and a brutally abusive stepfather to Ofelia. Her loneliness and vivid imagination lead her to a fantastic discovery of an incredible stone labyrinth near her new home. When she ventures inside, she discovers a surreal world full of mythical creatures that hail her as their princess. Ofelia soon meets the otherworldly Pan (Doug Jones), who gives her three dangerous tasks to complete before she can return home. For the 11-year old girl, it is a magnificent escape that will help her cope with the harsh realities of the world she left.

Pan
There was something else I wanted to write about but of course! I forgot what it was. Damn it!

Guess that I'll have to come back as soon as I remember.

*make mental note: do not think about what to write when in bed.

Something new

We've been to the cinema last night to see "the Holiday"...

I can't say it was worth it's money (£12.50!!!!!!!!!!!) but it was alright. Kate Winslet and Jack Black saved it. Jude Law was alright but not the best Actor around.

The landscape was awesome, the soundtrack was great (Hans Zimmer, what do you expect :)) the two kids were cute and really good BUT I swear that I'll never watch a film that has Cameron Diaz in it AGAIN! She's so annoying. Her acting is so rubbish. >_< Also, you might not notice in an all-American cast but with Jude and Kate being British actors you do notice how "American" Cameron is and how annoying that can get.

Kate-and-Jack

In other news, I joined the gym today. I had an assesment with Mark who was really nice and who showed me around gave me tips etc. He wrote me a program of 30 mins cardio and 30 mins weights. I did know before but it was confirmed today: I am sooo weak. My arms and legs are/were like jelly. Everything I lifted after coming back from the gym felt really heavy (7UP-can, bread with ham on it... O_o *lol*) I'm going back tomorrow morning to do my first full work-out. I just had a few minutes on everything today as we went through it.

I weighed myself today after getting dressed in the gym...it said 59 which is even better than the 60 I was last time I weighed myself...a few weeks ago at he Doc. And it means that I lost weight..about 6Kg...yeah!!! (I could tell anyway..I'm constantly losing my trousers o_o)

Soo..that's it for now. :x
